We are anxious that you fully enjoy your chosen activity as much as possible. Please note the following:

Clothing

To get the best from your day with us please wear dark, warm, comfortable country clothing and walking shoes. We advise bringing waterproof clothing & wellington boots as well, in case of rain.

Introduction
Our courses usually start around 9.30 - 10.00am. Your time with us will develop depending on your level of previous experience with birds of prey. If you are new to falconry, we will start by giving you a brief introduction to the centre, an explanation of some basic falconry terms and a run-down on some practical “do’s & dont’s” in the interests of your own safety and the well-being of the birds. Nevertheless we appreciate your desire to get to the practical 'hands-on' aspects of your day and depending on your level of experience, will get you to the birds as soon as possible!

The Birds of Prey Used on the Courses
Whilst none of our birds are ‘wild’, neither are they tame or to be regarded as pets, as they are after all predators who have a natural instinct to kill for their food. Nevertheless our birds are used to human company and should offer to danger to their handlers if treated correctly and with respect. No bird of prey can be ‘trained’ so when you are with us you will have many opportunities to witness the natural instincts of our raptors as they soar, quarter, stoop, pounce and mantle over their hunted prey or the rewards they receive on course days.

Refreshments
We offer all our guests refreshment on arrival and departure, and where indicated a hearty pub lunch at a local (and well-frequented!) hostlery. If you have any special dietary requirements, please let us know in advance.

Your Course Companions
In order that you have as much time as possible to interact with and enjoy the experience of being in close proximity to some magnificent birds of prey, the number of people on each course will vary between two and five other individuals only.

Photography
Guests are welcome to take photographs or videos throughout their activity. Please note that flash photography does not bother the birds.

Bookings
We recommend that you book your activity as much in advance as possible, as all course places are in limited supply and are very popular. This especially applies if you want to take part on a weekend. However, occasionally we can accommodate guests at short notice.

Cancellation
Please note that birds may not fly in conditions which may be hazardous for them - in heavy rain or high winds, for example. If we are able to warn you in advance of these in the expectation of adverse weather conditions, we will do so and re-book you on the next available free date or issue a voucher for a similar course which can be redeemed at a time more convenient to you.
IMPORTANT: Please call the Centre on 08456 807 897 the day before your visit to confirm the arrangements, as some courses may be postposed if the weather is likely to be entirely unsuitable.

In the event of a guest wishing to change the date of their course, we will make every effort to accommodate these requirements, but that if we are unable to do so or in the event of failure to attend on the agreed date without prior warning, such occurrence will render the certificate liable to forfeit. Gift certificates are not refundable.
