Suffolk Owl Sanctuary is committed to preserving the well-being of our visitors and staff together with the birds and animals in our care. To assist our community we are some retaining measures at the Sanctuary to keep everybody safe and It is important that you are aware of these during and before your visit.

Any precautions have been designed to provide a safe and enjoyable visit for everyone. We will be constantly reviewing how we operate and will endeavour to update this page on our website regularly in line with our current practices.

We know that your visit might feel a little different to normal, however, we wish to assure you that we have put measures in place to ensure that your day is both safe, stress-free and enjoyable.

ADVANCE BOOKING - We are regulating the number of visitors each day and asking visitors to book online in advance whenever possible. Even if you are a season ticket holder you will still need to book your visit online - details of how Season Ticket holders can book their visits can be found here but if you run across a problem please call us on 03456 807 897 / Option 3

FACE MASKS - Visitors over the age of 11 are encouraged to wear a face mask in the S.O.S. reception/shop area as part of our desire to maintain as safe a covid-secure environment for visitors, staff and volunteers as possible in this enclosed space.

SOCIAL DISTANCING - Please follow social distancing guidance in respect for other groups of visitors.

HAND SANITISING - There are sanitising stations placed throughout the Sanctuary.

CONTACTLESS PAYMENTS - We ask you to make contactless payments with your credit or debit card when necessary. 

OFF LIMITS - We regret our mini maze is closed for the time being.

OUR “GOOD TO GO” RISK ASSESSMENT - In order to achieve “Good To Go” accreditation, we were required to provide a thorough risk assessment.

PLEASE DON’T VISIT if you have any covid-19 symptoms, are in a high-risk category, are self-isolating, or if you or anyone you’ve been in contact with has symptoms of coronavirus. We’ll look forward to seeing you soon but right now, it’s not worth the risk.
