**Fly With Me**

**Encounters**

‘Come Fly With Me’ Close Encounters are held daily and offer the opportunity for you to spend time flying one of our beautiful owls in the company of one of our trained bird handlers. Lasting for approx. 20mins, Encounters can be booked *in advance* online or *on the day* in person at the Sanctuary. Two places are available for each Encounter, price £30 per participant excluding the price of admission to the Sanctuary. Meerkat Encounters

It’s great fun to take a walk on the wild side with The Mob. During a Meerkat Encounter, you will spend time inside their enclosure discovering all about these fascinating creatures with one of our trained handlers. Lasting for approx. 20 minutes, encounters are restricted to a maximum of 4 people, minimum age 8. **Armadillo**

**Encounters**

Spending time with these friendly desert dwellers will provide a memorable opportunity to learn all about their lifestyles and characters. In the company of an expert keeper to provide insights to their fascinating world as you engage with the endearing pair, perhaps treat them to their favourite snacks and take some memorable photos. Beginning at 10.30 and lasting for 20 minutes, Armadillo Encounters can be booked in advance, price £30 per person excluding admission to the Sanctuary. Crested Porcupine Encounters

Enjoy a close encounter with these amazing animals to discover their fascinating and exceptionally curious characteristics. Accompanied by an expert keeper to answer all your questions, you'll interact with our friendly porcupine pair, taking photos, feeding them and engaging their remarkable behaviour. An exclusive experience offering a rare chance to create unforgettable memories, each encounter begins at 12.30pm on many weekdays and at weekends and lasts for about 20 minutes, Advance booking only, price £30 per person, max 4 people, minimum age 13. ** *CLICK ME for more information and booking*.

HALF-DAY KEEPER EXPERIENCE WITH ANIMALS

Now is your chance to dive deep into the world of looking after our animals with a Keeper Experience for half a day or a full day. During a typical Keeper Experience you will spend time with one of our expert staff as they show you the ropes of zoo husbandry, taken behind the scenes to work up close and personal with the animals you will be looking after, and to participate with regular tasks including cleaning their enclosures, preparing their food and feeding them, creating enrichment for the animals, and getting involved with talks and events.

Animal Keeper Experience (Half Day AM)

This engaging half-day experience involves working with our Meerkats, Porcupines, Armadillos and other animals and will include some of the following activities: Enclosure cleaning • Food preparation • Introduction to animals • Enrichment making • and feeding the animals during talks. Supervised by an experienced keeper, a Half Day Animal Keeper Experience costs £85 per participant. Under 16’s must be accompanied by an adult (18+) for the duration. The Experience will be pre-bookable up to 4 weeks in advance, will last for approx. 2.5hrs and includes admission to the Sanctuary, and a Keeper Certificate. Available from July.
