Meet the Team

Dolly joined Suffolk Owl Sanctuary in 2020, initially as a volunteer, but began working at the centre on the Bird team the following spring. Having worked in primary schools during university, and leading animal courses and experiences in more recent roles, she has always enjoyed engaging with young people and inspiring a connection to nature and animals.

Jade started at Suffolk Owl Sanctuary in 2021 on a work placement for her Animal Studies course at college. She joined the team as a trainee that summer, then returned as a member of staff in 2022. Jade is a keen wildlife photographer and has always wanted to teach others the importance of what we do and how that can impact the environment.

Izzy joined Suffolk Owl Sanctuary in 2020, volunteering alongside her degree. Upon graduating, Izzy joined us as Trainee, before being hired as a full time Animal Trainer and Presenter, and uses her creativity to invent new enrichment devices that encourage our birds’ natural behaviours. She uses her camera trapping experience to monitor the progress of our Raptor Hospital patients, which she researched for her dissertation. Izzy loves an underdog and voices her passion for unloved or misunderstood species, such as our vultures.

Bethany started working as part of the Suffolk Owl Sanctuary team in 2020. During that time she has taken on a supportive role with the Education Team, helping to deliver activities both on and off site. With previous experience working and volunteering with a variety of people she is eager to help promote conservation and the importance of nature to everyone, playing a valuable role in meeting and greeting visitors as part of our Admin team and hosting our Children's Parties.
