Would you just look at this mountain of old newspapers!
They have all been very kindly donated to Suffolk Owl Sanctuary by our friends at Suffolk Libraries (Ipswich County Library, Stowmarket Library and Newmarket Library) to help make our day to day work just that little bit easier.
Newspapers are an essential tool used on a daily basis throughout the sanctuary. They line the night boxes in which the flying team are housed overnight and provided a quick and effective way of gathering and cleaning out 'the night's business' each morning before the boxes themselves are disinfected.
Supplies have been running low of late, although this stash will certainly keep us going for a short while!
If you have any old newspapers at home you could spare, please consider dropping them off to our Gift Shop the next time you're down our way.
